Today we opened the Dynamic Surfaces Exhibition at University of Lapland. It contains different artistic examples from the different partners in the project, that demonstrate the possibilities of electrochromic displays.

From the press release:

Dynamic Surfaces
9. – 25.4.2019
Opening Monday 8.4.2019 18–19.30
Galleria Kopio, University of Lapland, Yliopistonkatu 8, Rovaniemi
Open: Mon-Fri 8–20, Sat 9–16, Sun Closed.

The Dynamic Surfaces exhibition showcases how interactive graphics can be integrated into different design products. The dynamic graphics have been created with electrochromic displays, which can be printed to different surfaces. This emerging technology opens new possibilities for product design, crafts and art. The exhibition pieces with electrochromic displays include, e.g. pictures, interior design elements, and clothing. The exhibition includes works by several designers, and is part of the European Union funded DecoChrom Horizon 2020 research project, led by professor Jonna Häkkilä.
